Many people believe your set-up and impact positions should be the same. This concept is incorrect. The following list will help to show how they differ.
WEIGHT DISTRUBUTION-Set-up approximately 50/50. Impact-Minimum 75% on the front foot. Weight rolling along inside edge of back foot to outside of front foot.
HANDS-Slightly forward at impact compared to set-up. This will cause the shaft to lean towards the target.
HIPS-Rotated slightly open at impact but square at set-up.
HEAD – Should be in the same spot for both.
SHOULDERS – Parallel to the intended line of flight for both.
FRONT LEG/KNEE – Flexed at set-up. At impact the leg/knee should be almost fully extended.
