My name is Adam Altis, and I am the founder of Blades Golf in Germantown, WI. Paul discussed potential collaboration opportunities with me and kindly is helping me share details about our new facility and how it started.
Years ago, I worked as an assistant golf pro at Bulls Eye Country Club in Wisconsin Rapids and fell in love with the game of golf. After being there for 7 years, I met my soon-to-be wife, Jessica, and moved towards Milwaukee. That led to being out of the golf business for quite a while as we started a family. I have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Sophie and Emma, and we have been playing golf together for several years.
Since playing golf on a small Simulator in the garage is not what most kids find fun, I started thinking about something bigger and better. Finding a comfortable, fun place for my girls and their friends to play sounded like something too good to not make happen. Fast forwarding, the space evolved into a 10,000 sq ft facility with 8 large bays, a 20-foot TV, and a Beverage cart that drives around to each bay to service the customers. Each bay has its own green, equipped with Puttview, that truly gives the golfers a one-of-a-kind experience to finish your round by putting into a real hole.
We offer men’s, and women’s leagues, junior membership options, and will have several options specifically geared towards the girl golfers. Growing the game for girls’ golf is my true passion for this, and will do whatever I can to help them succeed.
